Welcome to the magical world of language learning

Welcome to FluenC!

Trying to challenge yourself, broaden your horizons and want to learn a new life skill? Perhaps you want to get that grade 9 or A* in your GCSEs/A levels? Maybe even considering quitting your job and going backpacking around South America - whatever you’re thinking, join us here at FluenC and we’ll guide you through your language learning journey.

FluenC is a private language tuition company started in early 2024 by Isabelle and Keanu, a young couple with a shared passion for languages. We believe languages are truly incredible, and our aim is to help as many people as possible to achieve their goals and become addicted to language learning like us.

We want to battle the idea that ‘we don’t have to learn another language because everyone speaks English’. The UK is notoriously bad for speaking a second language, and that is something we are not proud of and want to help change.

Knowledge is power. Is there a greater skill than one that allows you to speak with 100s of millions of new people? We don’t think so.

Begin your language learning journey with us today. Achieve fluency with FluenC!

FAQs & Miconceptions

  • Yes! Knowing another language in such an inter-connected world is an incredibly valuable skill. A recent study found that bilinguals earn up to 20% more on average!

  • False! The only reason babies seem to be able to pick up a language easily is because they’re completely surrounded by that language - immerse yourself in your target language and you will learn just as quickly

Experts estimate that a dedicated adult learner can become conversationally fluent in Spanish in just under 12 months.

  • This is such a frustrating one! People are often told this in school and it sticks with them for the rest of their life and they resign themselves to the fact that they are simply ‘bad at languages’ when it is really the education system to blame!

At FluenC we encourage using real-world language skills to achieve fluency, not burying your head in a textbook.

  • Learning another language has countless benefits, beyond the obvious travel and work opportunities, it:

    • Improves memory and ability to multitask

    • Improves overall academic performance

    • Protects against mental deterioration - one study found that learning another language can offset Alzheimer’s disease by up to 4.5 years!

    • Improves confidence, opportunities to make new friends

    • Helps develop an appreciation for and further your understanding of other cultures
